What tree survey and report do I require for the planning application?

If there are trees on-site or/and within its proximity (15m) outside the boundary, any Local Planning Authority (LPA) in the UK for the successful planning application will require, in most cases :

  • BS5837 Tree survey and report.
  • Arboricultural Impact Assessment including Tree Protection Plan.

Therefore, if you provide the above, your application will be acceptable following the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). However, LPA may ask for additional information to support your planning proposal, such as:

  • Arboricultural Method Statement

Thus, we decided to give clients a choice of selecting what services they require for their project. Similarly, if you are in doubt, contact our star team to help you choose the correct tree survey and report and get planning consent.
